Oddly enough, the topic of opera has gone hand in hand with Pink Floyd in recent years.
Of course, it all began in 1979 with the rock opera The Wall, but then Roger Waters took time to, instead of creating new solo material, write an opera by the name of Ca Ira. Then of course we had the radio play based on DSotM most recently, but now yet another opera idea based on the Floyd is in the works.
It's called Noise for Syd, based not on Mr. Barrett's life, but his music, although it won't be featuring any.
I'm absolutely ok with tributes to the Floyd, in whatever form they may be, and this one could be something special if done right.
