Former UFO bassist Pete Way is undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.
According to "Classic Rock" magazine, Way says he's feeling "good" and is "determined to beat it." Apparently, doctors discovered the tumor over the summer by accident during a routine liver scan.
Way explains that his liver had been "the area of most concern over the years" due to hepatitis. He considers himself lucky because doctors found the cancer early.
Once he recovers the 62-year-old plans to bring awareness of the disease to men across the world.
Because of the radiotherapy treatment Pete will undergo over the coming month, he's decided to postpone the release of his upcoming album Walking on the Edge. The project will likely hit stores early next year.
