Listen to Fleetwood Mac on iHeartRadio

Former Fleetwood Mac singer-keyboardist Christine McVie says she's like to return to the group.  She tells the UK's "Guardian" her recent performance with them reminded her of how much she enjoyed being a part of the band.  She adds that "if they were to ask" she'd "probably be very delighted."

McVie says when she left the group in 1998 she was "just music'd out." and "suffered from some kind of delusion" that she "wanted to be an English country girl."  She explains that it just took her 15 years to realize that's not really how she wants to spend the rest of her life.

McVie adds that she won't be rejoining the group tomorrow, but that it's "a long way down that path if it were to happen."  She explains that it's something they haven't even discussed yet, in light of John McVie's cancer diagnosis.  Christine says he's "got to get well first," and they'll "have to wait and see."

Christine McVie shared the stage with Fleetwood Mac to perform "Don't Stop" at two of the band's London concerts back in September, marking the first time she'd performed with the group since her departure 15 years ago.  John McVie went public with his cancer diagnosis last month.  His health forced Fleetwood Mac to cancel scheduled shows in Australia and New Zealand.
