Former Journey singer Steve Perry has not performed publicly since 1995. Perry has battled various health issues in the past two decades. He had hip replacement surgery in 1998. In 2013, he had two surgeries to remove what turned out to be melanoma.
But, on Sunday May 25, he showed up on stage during a performance by the Eels. He walked on stage for the band's second encore and sang one of the band's songs.
Then, he did two of his own.
Perry busted out Journey's mega-hit Open Arms and then did Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'.
Journey is on tour with their current lead singer, Arnel Pineda. They will play the BIG Concert on June 1 at Jiffy Lube Live.
