AC/DCFans.Net is reporting that AC/DC has begun work on a new album in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.  The Australian band is working with producer Brendan O'Brien.  O'Brien has previously worked with Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young.

It was previously reported that AC/DC had been planning on working on a new record in Vancouver in May.  But, co-founding guitarist Malcolm Young was forced to take a break from the band due to illness.  Many believed that Young's health would result in the end of AC/DC.

It is unclear what AC/DC is doing without Young involved.  One unconfirmed report has his nephew, Stevie Young, in Vancouver with the band.  If anybody ever did replace Malcolm Young, the good money is on Stevie.
